11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
2908-A Oak Ridge Road ~ Oak Ridge, NC 27310
It's our 22nd Year and we are planning a GREYT NEW event. Mark you calendars.
Invitation to all Past, Present and Perspective owners of Greyhounds to join us to celebrate National Adopt a Greyhound Month. This event is to raise funds to support our ongoing adoption program that includes the care of the greyhounds while awaiting adoption, veterinary expenses, shelter operational expenses and food. We highlight the day with live entertainment, vendors, demonstrations, Hound Cafe, Pet Therapy Bake Sale, Blessing of the Animals, raffle tickets and last but not least, shopping and more shopping. I encourage you to attend and be apart of this exciting fund-raising day.
While the focus of the event will be on greyhounds, we encourage old and new visitors to the "greyhound world" and all leashed pets are welcome. Please remember that Greyhound Friends of North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your contributions are tax deductible.
Additional overflow parking: The church directly across from the driveway entrance on Oak Ridge Road has given us permission to park. Please park in rows so that it's easy entry & exit. A little further to walk to the kennel but we have limited space.
A few pictures from 2014 Cinco de Mayo Open House - Thanks to YOU, beautiful weather and Dennis and Claire, we consider the event a HUGE success.
Greyhounds True or False?
We invite you to visit the kennel and learn the Truth!
True: Comedians and Couch potatoes
False: Hyperactive and require lots of space
All dogs are individuals, and your family's preferences should be discussed. Greyhounds are not the dog for everyone, but most people that adopt a greyhound become ambassadors for the breed.
