Welcome to Greyhound Friends of North Carolina
Our mission is to provide adoption services for retired racing Greyhounds, provide for their health and welfare, educate the public about the availability and desirability of greyhounds as pets and place them through adoption into loving homes.
If you planning your vacation, please don't forget to pack your hound or make special arrangement with a Pet Sitter. We have a few listed in Resources - Pet Sitting.
The Dog Days of Summer have arrived- doesn't your pet need it's summer bath? Of Course, they do. We have scheduled a SPA Day for any of your doggy pets at The Natural Dog, 3708 Lawndale Dr Greensboro on August 23rd 11am-3pm - Self-Washing area has 3 tubs.
GFNC will have friendly smiling volunteers available to wash your pets, clean ears and clip toes for $20 per dog. Bring your pet(s), browse the store for food, treats, bedding, toys galore and visit our meet and greet table.
The Natural Dog will donate back to GFNC $10 for each dog washed during the time we are in the store and will have some free "Swag" as a gift for visiting the store.
Greyhound Friends of NC APP is now available.
GFNC app available on the Apple app store at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gfnc/id907241879?mt=8
It is free to download use on Ipad, Iphone and Ipod. The devices must be running iOS 7.1 or later. It looks best on the iPhone and iPod. There is some vacant space when viewing on the iPad but that is typical given the larger display.
Garrett Howell is a 14 yo whose family recently adopted from us and is HIGH TECH. The app allows you to keep up with GFNC's website and Facebook, which updates every time the website or FB is updated.
